A quick 5 minute walk to the Train station and 10 minute walk to all major sights in Florence, Cellai hotel is a great deal. Our room was quite spacious with a very well appointed bath as well. Very accommodating staff--our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but they cleaned it so it was ready within a few minutes after our arrival.
Rooftop "bar" was a let down. Not really a bar and the views weren't spectacular.

I absolutely loved this luxurious boutique hotel! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the charming atmosphere and the exceptional staff who made me feel like a VIP. The location is perfect, right in the heart of everything, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. It's just a short walking distance to the Duomo and other major attractions, as well as fine restaurants and the train station.
I would recommend this place to all my friends without hesitation.

The location is good. Just a ten minute walk from the sm Novella train station and 10 to 15 minutes from the Duomo. The building is a lovely historical venue The shower was nice and roomy. The largest I've seen in any hotel. The breakfast buffet was decent relatively speaking.
The fact that they charge for wi fi was a drawback. We could have stayed a lower priced b&b in the area since service didnt make up for the higher price at this hotel. Many of the front desk staff were aloof and not that willing to help. They dont offer any currency exchange.

Everything was perfect. Location, cleanliness, space, staff were great, breakfast was fantastic, food and surroundings by candlelight. The hotel is so cosy, with art and antiques around every corner.Three honesty bars, room very clean and loads of space. Receptionist reconised it was my birthday from my passport, and when I told him it was also our Silver Wedding Anniversary on the 5th, when we arrived back that evening, there was a bottle of prossecco and bunch of flowers in our room, this was just the icing on the cake. Exellent design. Authmosphere. A lot of space. Library. Very good taste.
Some rooms have too small shower and could be very noisy in the street side.

We stayed at a fabulous boutique hotel in a great location. It was close to all the main key tourist sites and really close to the train station. The room was delightful, with nice decor and air conditioning. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The service was excellent, with friendly and professional staff. The breakfast buffet had a fantastic selection of cheeses, pastries, cereals, meats, fruits, and more. The hotel also had beautiful sitting areas, a bar, and tea service in the afternoon.
The only downside was that the room was a bit tiny and lacked shelving or a dresser to put our clothes in, so we had to live out of suitcases for 5 days.
